Reflection
Compositional elements present in this photo are edge of frame, leading lines and light. Technically, this photo has a shallow Depth of Field, nice contrast, and it is in black and white. I used the light from the window behind me to create a very strong shadow under the guitar neck and a strong light across the fretboard of the guitar. I also chose a birds eye view, looking down on the neck of the guitar as it laid across my lap. I considered distance by getting the camera nice and close to capture as much detail as I could. I also did the bird's eye view to really capture the shadow beneath the neck of the guitar. I believe from an artistic standpoint I did create a photo with a special meaning (to me at least). It holds the attention of viewers because the strings of the guitar lead your eyes to the central point (the guitar pick) from both sides of the image. It has special meaning to musicians because it is an interesting photo of piece of a musical instrument.
